I know the snow is bearing down, but in case you're looking for an excuse to get out, I've got a few shows we weren't able to squeeze into print this week that I'd like to bring to your attention:
Tonight at the Smiling Moose, the local co-headliners are The I Drive and Before You; the latter of which recently released a new single:
A little birdie told me they're also working on a video for the tune, like right now as we speak basically!
Tonight at Howlers: The Ceiling Stares hit the stage; Great Ants and Good Sport play this one as well.***
Tomorrow (Saturday), also at Howlers, another big-deal local bill: Carousel, Microwaves, Whoarfrost and Crazy Scorpion Group play.
Also tomorrow, surf-rockers The Turbosonics start their month-long CD release tour with a show at the 31st Street Pub with The Jason Martinko Revue and Semi-Supervillains opening.
Locals Akrasia headline at Brillobox tomorrow night, with The #s, Nemo, and GrainSquall.
And at Shadow Lounge Saturday night, former local MH the Verb returns, on a bill with The Van Allen Belt and New York funk band Watermelon.
*** This entry originally had the wrong headlining band listed; the email we received from Howlers had Slices as the headlining band for tonight, but that listing was in error. We've since fixed it to reflect, er, the truth.
