The Brooklyn-based author won the Drue Heinz for her short-fiction collection The Source of Life and Other Stories (University of Pittsburgh Press). Critic Sven Birkerts chose it from among more than 300 submissions.

Birkerts wrote of the collection: “When I turned the last page I had the sensation I used to have in movie theaters as a kid when the credits rolled and the lights went on: that I had been somewhere that had felt very real, and that I wasn't quite ready to go back outside.”

Bosworth is the founding editor of The Saint Ann’s Review. Her other books include the 2003 novel Tunneling and the 1995 collection A Burden of Earth and Other Stories.

Tonight’s talk and signing starts at 6 p.m. The library’s at 4400 Forbes Ave.

Writers LIVE is a program of Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures. Tonight’s event is free with registration. Register at 412-622-8866 or www.pittsburghlectures.org.
