In the past, when there's been an event at a South Side bar that featured the phrase "Jersey Shore," it's been because, like, DJ Pauly D is appearing or something. Not so tonight: Tonight at Mullen's on Carson, two New Jersey natives now living in Pittsburgh are holding a benefit event for New Jersey hurricane relief.
Restore the Shore night will be a drive for items that folks in New Jersey need: Clothing, toiletries, non-perishable food, pet food, etc. If you bring a donation, you get a special discounted price on drinks.
The Facebook even linked above has contact information for organizers Gary Curtis and Micaela Harrison, in case you want to donate or get involved but can't make it out tonight.
