The Indefatigable Bram is back at it, having more or less restarted the Pittsburgh Comet. And he's contributing at the Pittsburgh Progressive as well, with a post based on an earlier Post-Gazette piece on Ed Grattan.

The comments section of the PP post includes some discussion of 225 Ross Street, a Downtown office building the P-G ties to Grattan's business partner, and which is frequently used by Democratic pols as a campaign headquarters.

I just thought I'd note that, while no one else has mentioned it so far, the building's owners apparently have a history of paying taxes on the structure late. There's a metaphor for our local leadership in there somehwere, I'm sure.

Also, if you haven't seen them already, two statewide polls show Joe Sestak closing the gap with Arlen Specter, and Dan Onorato reaping the harvest of his extensive TV ad camnpaign. I don't want to put too much credence in these findings: I'd feel more confident in Dan Onorato's frontrunner status if the Muhlenburg poll had actually spelled his name correctly.

As for Sestak/Specter, some tightening was probably bound to occur in the weeks just prior to the election. And there are still massive numbers of undecided voters all along the ballot. But at least it's still worth paying attention, which is something you can't always say by the first week of May.
