Sometimes we get late notice about shows and can't get them into the paper, but still want to point them out to you, which is what I'm doing right now. Here are a few shows coming up in the next few days that didn't make the paper:
- International experimental pianist Eve Risser, currently a Parisian, appears tonight and tomorrow night in two different spots in the eastern part of the city. Tonight, she bangs the keys at the Kresge Theater at CMU, in the College of Fine Arts building; Ben Harris and Kerrith Livengood appear as well. Tomorrow night, she appears in an intimate show at the house of fellow key experimenter Melissa St. Pierre in Lawrenceville; I'll forego listing that address and tell you to get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to attend; Melissa can help you from there. In addition to a collaboration between the two pianists, Alpaca Beretta appears.
- Next week, on Wednesday, April 8, Des Ark -- the solo Des Ark, meaning just Aimee Argote -- appears at Morning Glory Coffeehouse. I wrote Des Ark up a little while back; you can catch up on that here. Great Blue Heron and Emily & Maya open; that show starts at 7:30 or so.
Happy weekend, readers!
