The permanent collection -- with Sargent, Homer, Cassatt, Tiffany -- alone is worth the short drive east of town. But while no one would call it cutting-edge, the former mansion house also hosts interesting temporary shows. There's a regional focus, too, with everything from folk art to contemporary work.
