Thunderbird has changed its focus to be more of a full-time venue: Major promoters bring in indie rock and jazz shows alongside the standard blues, and bar-goers on the first floor can watch the action on the mezzanine-level stage via closed-circuit TV. The balcony level makes the most of the small venue's space and is a good spot for the slightly detached show-goer.
