Hotel Transylvania
Adam Sandler shlocks it up as an animated Dracula.

To protect his monster friends and, more importantly, his daughter, from the fire and pitchforks of frightened villagers, Count Dracula builds a secluded haven called Hotel Transylvania. Add an unexpected human infiltration and it's not necessarily a bad premise for an animated kids' film. But add Adam Sandler and one of his much-heard kooky voices, combined with a shallow telling of the oft-used "don't-judge-a-book-by-its-cover" storyline and you've got 91 minutes of nearly unwatchable drek. The film is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, making his first leap from animated TV to the big screen. And that's just how the film feels — like a bad, clichéd Saturday-morning cartoon made way too long. With unnecessary 3-D and the stale antics of Sandler, not even an admirable turn by Steve Buscemi as a werewolf named Wayne can save this. No blood is sucked in this sanitized vampire tale, but that's OK because the movie sucks enough already.
