There is no answer except an improved Medicare for All. Private insurance profit and pharmaceutical profit must be eliminated and or pared from our heathcare system.The affordable care act only insures greater private profits for insurance and pharmaceutical companiesl at the expense of care for all of us.
Mr Potter--your 5 star reporting/analysis of the Sen Ferlo townhall only highlights that single payer is the only way we can reduce costs and simultaneously guarantee healthcare as a human right in our country--where profits are privatized in our present system and all the risk and costs are socialized to the detriment of the vast majority.To that end our angry vigils outside UPMC and Highmark shall continue every other Friday downtown to highlight the quagmire we are left with our dominant insurer and healthcare provider.We shall be on Grant St.noon this Friday Sept 23rd to continue the struggle to replace the for profit corporate healthcare monstrosity.
