Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre
The brainchild of local playwright, producer and director Mark Clayton Southers is a grassroots company specializing in local work both new and old, including annual production of a selected play by local hero August Wilson. Its singular Theater Festival in Black and White matches white playwrights with black directors and vice versa.
