Missed one: Daptone stalwarts the Budos Band bring their brand of funk, soul, and doom instrumentals in from Staten Island to play the Rex Sat. 11/8 with doom rockers Electric Citizen.

Re: “Critics' Picks: August 7 - 13

Motely Crue & Alice Cooper??? This is truly the ultimate 'rock' concert...as in 'rocking-chair'!!! and, what better venue than the Viagra Pavillion. I hope their, 'Cease and Desist' contract is irrevocable. May Lawrence Welk R.I.P.

Re: “Critics' Picks: February 20 - 26

Dalton would be interesting if she was at all unique or weird. What's with the "Kate Bush is weird" crap?

Re: “Critics' Picks: Sept 23 - 28

Why not mention that Rise Against plays with Foo Fighters that night? Rise Against are one of my favorite bands and have headlined plenty of tours - I don't remember ever listening to them until the 2000's. They also have a current music video that speaks volumes on the recent surge in teen suicides--certainly keeping up with the times. Not to mention Foo Fighters recent album received some extremely favorable reviews by modern critics who, I'm guessing, aren't all "stuck in the 90s."

Re: “Critics' Picks

refreshing departure from the rap and R&B artists that populate the pop charts today

-All of the music in Pittsburgh is a "departure from the pop charts"...the city is a bunch of ethnic hillbillies living far outside of mainstream America (Khalifa and co excluded)...

Do you EVER cover anything but this guitar-based Bull$h*t?????
