I am happy to note that, contrary to what I said in an earlier review, they now serve alcoholic beverages.
I love this place. There is no wine or beer but you can bring your own. The portions are enormous so you will be taking food home. Everything I have ever had here was wonderful. The staff are also great. The only problem is finding parking. But there is a small lot behind the restaurant. Bon appetit.
What a nice place to eat. Great customer service and friendly staff. The food was and is, always fresh and distinctly different. Try the soups, the Tom Kha is special..
Food okay, bad customer service! The guy at the desk is arrogant and full of himself, needs classes on how to treat people with respect especially women. The same man happened to be behind the desk and the attendant the couple of times I visited. Boy! he was rude. Even though I liked the food I will never go back there again.
Amazing Thai food with good lunch prices. My favorite place to eat downtown.
OVER PRICED AND MASS PRODUCED
We had a bad experience at Jimmy Wan's restaurant at Freeport Rd. It was like eating at a fast food restaurant. They took our order and immediately brought the food to the table before we got our drinks. It was a 15 minute meal. We complained to the owners. They were not concerned and never apologized for the bad service. The food here is MASS PRODUCED. The food is already prepared; that is why they bring it right away to the table. It is also overpriced. We won't go back.
Great food and exceptionally friendly staff! I only ordered for pick-up, and I loved everything I tried (shrimp toast, fresh Thai summer roll, & pad thai)! In addition, the courteousness and friendliness of the staff was so refreshing, that it makes me want to go back again just to support their business, given the multitude of Thai restaurants in Pittsburgh that compete with it. Looks like the restaurant recently got renovated, too, so I will have to try sitting in the restaurant sometime! Highly recommended!
Great atmosphere and excellent and creative food! Very appetizer and drink friendly- entrees were amazing as well. A bit on the pricey side for Lawrenceville, but the food is creative, fresh and very tasty so it is a nice treat. Open kitchen was a great place to sit b/c there was the ability to converse with the chefs. Sushi looked excellent, but we didn't have room for any more!
Pho Kim 88 is a great place to visit. I've been eating there pretty often. The food is always great and consistent and staffs are very friendly. Sushi, Hibachi and Vietnamese foods ar extremely GOOD. I ate here at least once a week and NEVER get tire of it. I am highly recommended you to visit this place.
Excellent! Good food for not a lot of money. If you go away hungry, it's your own fault as the portions are plentiful.
My only complaint, if I were to have one, is more universal to restaurants in general than Lulu's in particular: when offering appetizers, why is it that an odd number is served? For instance, we often order Crab Rangoon, which arrive almost dangerously hot, but there are five pieces to be split between two people. Why not four, or more generously, six?
Regardless of that minor annoyance, I have taken out-of-town relatives to Lulu's several times, to their great enjoyment. parking can be a bit of a challenge, but the effort is rewarded.
My husband and I love to come to Pho Kim. My family came there once a week. The chefs are excellent and the food are tasty and freshly made. They have the best sushi in Pittsburgh. The service is very friendly and wonderful. Overall this is my best vietnamese restaurant. I am highly recommend everybody should come to Pho Kim and to try out.
Pho Kim 88 deserved to be the best Vietnamese restaurant in Pittsburgh for 2008. My family love to come to this freshly cooking place to eat. This people are extremely friendly and hard working. The quality of food and service is wonderful. No restaurant is consider PERFECT. Their sushi "PITTSBURGH ROLL" is to die for. It's tasted so GOOD!. The Pho Ga noodles is so tasty. WOW!! the fresh spring is so FRESH...so YUMMY!!! Our family highly recommend you come to try out then you'll know what I meant!
Tram's Kitchen is a great low cost find! It's busy, very casual, and the food is delicious. Huge noodle bowls, full of flavor, everything we had was great! Cash only.
