I'm fourteen can I work there?
What kind of bar makes you feel like you're underage when you aren't and have a 100% valid driver's license to prove it?
Our server refused to accept my Minnesota driver's license. I suggested they scan it, but the server said they didn't have one, which I later found out to be false. The server also refused to acknowledge that my other forms of ID (credit card, school ID, etc) matched my driver's license. It seemed as though the server was just set on not serving my party and I.
Minnesota licenses are made out of a rubber-like compound, which may arouse some suspicion, but seriously at least try to verify my ID in some objective manner. He also stated that because my party had licenses from different states (we are students), "clearly" that meant all of our IDs were fake.
My experience at Kelly's was quite upsetting.
AVOID if you have an out-of-state or international ID--they only trust Pennsylvania driver's licenses!
Barley and Hops filled a ciritical need in the South Hills Suburbs - an area that is otherwise a craft-beer desert, in such stark contrast to the city.
But all good things must come to an end. Fiday, August 16, 2013 was they last day in business. Bye-Bye
We have eaten dinner here several times--always sitting at the bar. The food is wonderful and excellently prepared. The risotto is always top shelf. The bartender is the best and the staff is friendly and attentive. You are missing out if you don't give it a try.
Lovely atmosphere, just what we needed in our area. Wonderful to
local and have this caliber of dining experience without trotting to the
"burgh" with all of it's baggage and disappointing dining experience.
Kudo's to you Linda and staff. Absolutely wonderful gastronomic experience and atmosphere
Gourmet in Avalon! Service is fast and friendly. Goat cheese, sweet pepper,
Olive tapenade flat bread was AMAZING! Real sausage gravy. Bananas foster
French toast. Some gluten free items. Tons of vegetarian items.
As well as meaty treats like muffuletta, pulled pork.
great dining experience! Wonderful food and atmosphere.
I don't understand why I can't get a baked potato with my steak?
Best soulfood in pa
So glad they brought this place back - every night is a great night to head to Jame Street Gastropub!!!
I just found Pittsburgh's best kept secret... the Baja Bar at the Fox Chapel Yacht Club. There is no other place in the city that you can eat, drink and dance under the stars to some of the best bands in the 'Burgh.
Excellent Venue. Not a bad seat in the house. The food is great and the music is always top notch. You will not be disapointed.
For job hunters...for those who are interested in changing careers...or maybe looking to find some extra income opportunities..check out Little E's entrepreneurial Thursday nights. It has a relaxed casual social atmosphere where people get together and share ideas, exchange business cards, enjoy good food and great jazz sounds from Jessica Lee and friends. She sings as sweet as she looks, folks! After you're done checking the want ads and all those online job sites (or want to mix business with pleasure), check out Little E's on Thursday nights.
sonoma grill is a very sophisticated restaurant with delicious food and a spectacular wine selection. Escape cold and grey pittsburgh and escape to a california inspired atmosphere!
Horrible service. Wait, wait some more, and then, maybe, you will get some attention.
On four visits to the Peters Township location (No, I guess we didn't learn from the first three), we waited in a nearly empty restuarant for 10 minutes for the hostess to seat us. It went downhill from there. The waitress chose to chit-chat with the bartender instead of bringing us our drinks. The food took 45 minutes to get to us.
Stay away, unless you really like to be treated like a distraction instead of a customer!
loved sonoma! decor is beautiful, the food was great, and the wines were delish! I enjoyed everything :) you will too!!
Sonoma Grille is a fantastic place to eat downtown. The portions are a bit small, but they are delicious. My favorite is the Morrocan Lamb ravioli, it's so tender and perfectly spiced. Their drinks are also wonderful, especially a drink called "Lefty" with cucumber in it. It was cool and refreshing, and didn't taste like it had a ton of alcohol in it.
I will definitely be back soon!
They have the most disgustingly rude staff I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. Their waitress rolled her eyes everytime you asked for serivice. The bartenders ignored you, and held personal conversations instead of doing their job. The manager was just as bad as the staff, which would be why the staffs actions are condoned. The clientele act as though they are above the rest of the patrons at the bar, so unless you are a part of their inner circle, be prepared to be disrespected. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for good service, food or time.
