I go to Kelly's dozens of times a year--and have for as long as I've lived in Pittsburgh. It is the go-to place for me and my friends (hipster academics in our early 30s). The music gets a little loud. It's a little dark and cramped. But the tofu bites and fireflies can't be beat.
It sounds like the last reviewer is just butthurt because someone finally told him he can't have something. I'm female, petite, and have had 6 drinks in a two-hour span multiple times and have not gotten cut off. Last reviewer and co. were too drunk to be served and are pissed at being publicly shamed. His nonstop rationalizing gives it away.
I've not eaten at this restaurant for some time, but WOW!!! was the food fantastic when I did! Great Risotto, fantastic steak, service was wonderful and the portions were great too. I recall it being a bit pricier than $11-$19/plate, but honestly...it was well worth it.
What a nice place to eat. Great customer service and friendly staff. The food was and is, always fresh and distinctly different. Try the soups, the Tom Kha is special..
Good food, very bad service. I move from one table to another because of a very busy place and I was ignored the whole meal. Could not get ketchup or sugar free syrup. But they did bring my check. No second cup of coffee. I complained and got 20 per cent off not worth it.
As one of the oldest standing original resturaunts left in Bloomfield, Dels delivers the quality families expect, at a price they don't dread! As for Red Lion Reggae Band, WE WANT MORE! WHERE ARE THEY PLAYING NEXT?
Great food, added a bar with great microbrews!
Great Food !!!!
First time trying, Food and the experience was delicious, quaint atmosphere, prompt service and a large portion for a small price. Customer service made you feel like royalty! Will be back again!!
I agree w/BikeFan. This is a dismal restaurant serving C- quality bar food and
doing so with complete apathy. If not for the location they would have shut
down years ago. A dismal establishment that will not get a penny fro me!
The only place downtown that makes local fare a priority. I wish it were open on weekends, because it's the kind of place that makes Downtown seem unique and charming for visitors. The breakfast, sandwiches & salads are great: healthy, fresh and unique!
This was the best Gyro I had ever ate! It's huge..tasty...The owner is
nice ..Gave me a piece of baklava that he made..so so good..Fresh..
lots of nuts & honey..this is a must when your in Shadyside..
A Pittsburgh classic. Amazing food comes to your table. If you don't know Pittsburghers are friendly, go there. They will prove themselves to be friendly all the time.
Awesome place! Great food, great atmosphere and very reasonable prices. Stopped in with a large group after a trip to the PGH Glass Center. Good people!
My fiance and I have driven by El Campesino restaurant in Robinson Town Center a handful of times on our countless shopping trips and had always wanted to visit there. All of our friends had gone there many times and kept bragging about how good the restaurant was. So we finally decided to give it a try..
Amazing Thai food with good lunch prices. My favorite place to eat downtown.
Barley and Hops filled a ciritical need in the South Hills Suburbs - an area that is otherwise a craft-beer desert, in such stark contrast to the city.
But all good things must come to an end. Fiday, August 16, 2013 was they last day in business. Bye-Bye
Went to Matteo's with my husband to try something new...Wow,
wonderful food. The lamb ragu is to die for and I'm not a big lamb fan.
Atmosphere is great, staff very nice and accommodating. Liked it so
much, we took a group of our friends there a week later! Definitely
worth the drive from Sewickley
Lovely atmosphere, just what we needed in our area. Wonderful to
local and have this caliber of dining experience without trotting to the
"burgh" with all of it's baggage and disappointing dining experience.
Kudo's to you Linda and staff. Absolutely wonderful gastronomic experience and atmosphere
The best sushi in the Burgh!
