Re: “Soured no more: eating sauerkraut the right way eases a lot of bad memories

fermented foods are all good for you...it's just that some people can't handle the side effects, and some brands of fermented foods have either too much salt or added unnecessary food additives. http://www.schoolanduniversity.com

Re: “Draai Laag: The new brewery with an old-school approach

Why didn't you mention the other co-owner? It seems like a great brewery, but why leave something so important out? What's the story behind the rest of the brewery??

More articles like this, please! Sustainable meat in the 'burgh. Publicizing local farmers. And issues they're up against. More, more, more!

Re: “Luke Wholey's Wild Alaskan Grille

Melt in your mouth swordfish and shrimp puttanesca to die for! Very friendly service. Very cool lofty atmosphere with great art and murals on walls. This is a new restaurant that gets better every time we visit. Oh and oysters on the half shell- yum.

Re: “Food Insecurities

Not to be naive, but why don't these people avail themselves of the local food bank?

Re: “E2

This is a great review of a great restaurant, but E2 has been serving dinner, not just brunch, since at least early 2011, as evidenced by these Yelp reviews and my own personal experience. The "more recently" in the opening paragraph seems incorrect unless I am missing something.

Re: “For Rent: 3 BDRM, 2 Bath, pregnant goats incl.

Stephen Cleghorn here. Don't have the paper here at the farm, so I cannot see if contact information is included in the print version. For those seeing this online, my phone and email, as well as a lot more about the farm, are on my website: http://paradisegardensandfarm.com/

Re: “Luke Wholey's Wild Alaskan Grille

Very happy to see a Wholey's restauraunt open up. Whenever I'm home for the holidays my grandmother tells stories of her uncle Bobby's milk and egg farm and now I have something to show her how much it's grown since then!

Re: “Scrapple

I get it at the SuperWalmart in Robinson. I am originally from Central PA by way of about 7 other states....have always had a hard time finding scrapple.

Re: “Thai Suan Thip

I have only eaten there several times, so I'm no expert. Also, I couldn't tell you the difference between Thai or Vietnamese cuisine. Granted, the service could have been a bit more timely; however, rather than being slow, it was due to the always packed-house (something I equate with a 'good-find'). Likewise, the wait for your food to be prepared is rewarded by fresh flavors presented in a perfect balance that I have not experienced in other local Asian restaurants. I may not be an expert, but I know what I like. I recommend this restaurant, and I commend the owners for their obvious dedication and hard work.

Re: “Luke Wholey's Wild Alaskan Grille

Thanks for a review of Luke Wholey's that actually talks about how the food tastes! With Melissa McCart's review at the P-G it was pretty hard to tell!

Re: “Luke Wholey's Wild Alaskan Grille

Jackie,
I apologize if we missed the mark on your stuffed salmon, and your mothers rice. Please stop by anytime and allow me to personally make your meal just the way you and your mother like on the house. I really appreciate your feedback.
Thank you , and I hope to see you again!

Re: “Luke Wholey's Wild Alaskan Grille

You mentioned "sweet" in your review several times, and I definitely found myself wishing for a salt shaker for my stuffed salmon. My mom couldn't even eat her rice because it was so sweet. Lobster bisque was good, but not good enough to make me return.
