Re: “Mandrake Project releases A Miraculous Container on Blistering Records

I have gone to listen to the band and purchased there CD's. I am astounded at the musical talent this group of guys have. Their music is very unique - very hard to describe, but awesome comes to mind. I thought that an all instrumental band would not be to my liking, I was very wrong. You really do need to experience the experience.

Re: “Local guitar-and-drums duo Br'er Fox releases The Bitter Struggle with Duality LP

Br'er Fox is and has always been one of my favorite bands. "Take Me Home" is definitely my favorite song by them and they always have a very fresh and inspiring sound. I know someday soon they'll be one of greats and will knock our socks off day after day.

Re: “Jazz returns to Downtown with the opening of Little E's

I think it's a great start to stay in touch with live music for those who loves jazz. Also will there ever be a time when Norman Connors will be performing there or in Pittsburgh any time soon? Sincerely Flava Dave E-mail dhayes_1124@yahoo.com

Re: “Vocalist extraordinaire Gene Stovall performs at Shadow Lounge, preps new album

I've listened to Gene Stovall up here in Erie a number of times. He has the voice and the talent to give the crowd whatever style they want to hear as well as showoff some of his own personal features. The range he can produce with his voice is phenominal! He does this remix of an old Beatles tune and one of the "Stones'" song...excellant!! He's definitely worth the time and the money to experience.

Re: “Singer-songwriter -- and farmer -- Nicole Reynolds performs at WYEP

Your music is outstanding! It has so much meaning and I just can't get enough of it. I already purchased "Unordinary Mine." Keep creating the great music and hopefully I'll get to see you live!

Re: “New American Music Union festival takes over SouthSide Works Aug. 8-9

Clingfire! I am looking for the same info. There is absolutely nothing on the website for the show or on the Southside Works website. They both say information will be posted soon, but at this point I doubt we will get any. I am just planning on parking somewhere in the Southside and walking down.

Re: “New American Music Union festival takes over SouthSide Works Aug. 8-9

Their web site is devoid of details. I HEARD it's in a parking lot down there. Anyone know where it is? Where can you park? Can you take backpacks in? Do they sell beer?

Re: “Underground Music Festival Buried

I paid Erick Gross (Total Knockout Productions) $290.00 for a space to vend tie dye. Same story as I've read elsewhere - he told some tales then he just disappeared, no return calls, no return emails. I tried to believe, and still try to believe, that he wasn't just a crook. But a stand-up guy would have at least called me to tell me the event was cancelled, the money was gone, so sorry, etc. I disputed the $290 through paypal and won, but with no money in his PayPal account, there was nothing they could do to get my money back. ANy news, please email me.

Re: “Underground Music Festival Buried

JAMBA-LOSER
Festival vendor taken as well.
I was wondering if we can collectively gather information against Erick Gross to put him in jail.
Perhaps a class action law suit.

Re: “Underground Music Festival Buried

As a scheduled food vendor for the JamBaloosa, (PRASADAM VEGETARIAN CONCESSIONS), I was really looking forward to participating in this event. Erick Gross initially told us that he had sold thousands of tickets and was expecting 12,000 people to attend. He also gave us an extra large space to set up our operation and in a prime location (for the discounted price of $1500) because he liked the idea of vegetarian food as an alternative to the regular hot dog/hamburger vendors. Where's our money now? Anyone want a vegetarian Corn Dog? I've got lots left over.
Maybe he was really trying to do something and just goofed, although after talking to Kevin Orzechowski, Mines and Meadows and other vendors who were similarly burned, it appears he was not very straightforward or honest in his dealings. He never contacted any vendors to notify them of the cancellation, nor has he responded to emails or phone calls. Now it looks like he's a Wanted Man. The law will be on his butt soon.
If anyone wants to check out the mailing address I sent my application to in PA it's 210 Crest Street, Clairton, PA 15025. It's a bonafide address according to the Clairton Police Dept, although his name isn't on the address. Maybe it belongs to his girlfriend Tammy. Let me know what you find out.

Re: “Jewish folk-singer Debbie Friedman performs at Temple Sinai

We attended the performance tonight, and it was one of the most moving and enjoyable evenings we ever had. Debbie is a great performer, and had her audience in the palm of her hand.

Re: “Symphonic pop army The Polyphonic Spree marches on the Rex Theatre

I was at the show, and aside from having my eardrums blown, it was an awesome time... My fiance and I have been fans since we saw the spree on Conan O'Brien 4 or 5 years ago, and the music just keeps getting better. Not to mention that the band members are really cool, down-to-earth kind of people... I'd love to see them back in town on their next tour.
