Andy, it was a pleasure meeting and talking with you last week resulting in a thorough and fine article about music therapy. Thanks so much!
This is very well written and researched. Thank you!
Thank-you Andy!
Thank you, Andy Mulkerin, for a well-written and accurate portrayal of music therapy and the work done by board-certified music therapists!
well, there is the splendid "Juliana"
Kudos to you, Anti-Flag! As I had the pleasure of sharing with #2 in person, my sons have been impacted by your music, and more importantly, your lifestyle. For my oldest, being able to feel your passion and latch onto that in his darkest days, he was able to find himself through music. Had you been the party punk rather than the political punk, his life may not have lasted this long. Thank you for being strong role models! For that reason I have traveled far and wide to get them to your concerts (and paid for a lot of hair dye and skinny jeans). Raised by hippies, I understand, but don't always agree with your stance, but I completely admire you as people and your steadfastness to your cause. Free and extreme thinking is what keeps us balanced. Thanks for being you!
OOPS I learned just now that Stradivarius is not the brand but the model of my saw, and it is actually made by a company called Bahco. Confusing! The Stradivarius has a beautiful, rich tone, but the funniest thing about it is that they etch on the saw a depiction of a woman playing saw nude -- I don't recommend this! But I do recommend the Bahco Stradivarius, heartily.
Great venue!!
Mac Miller is best Miller.
Eric Y is a talented dude. Secret weapon. A real innovator...
Eric Yeschke (of Expensive $hit, Raw Blow, etc.) recorded this record at The Nerve and did a wonderful job doing so!
Who recorded and mixed this great sounding record?
Giving away a couple VIP tickets to his talk tomorrow night with Terrence Hayes. Includes a meet & greet afterward: http://travelingmarla.com/2013/04/17/meet-…
Thanks Rza for looking back and helping someone realize their dream! Pittsburgh Loves you Bro!
To anyone who is interested in the history of Hip-hop and has not read "The Tao of Wu", I highly recommend it.
It is insightful, well-referenced, and occasionally funny; it is only held back by The RZA's insanely massive ego (and, in early chapters, the utter hatred for the white man he felt in his youth).
Somebody should give him a Steeler/Penguin/Pirates stocking cap.
I have "Papa Gene's Blues" in my mp3 player. Really like that song
It's "Joanne", not "Joanna". :)
How you gonna have Lounge story and talk Open Mic without mentioning Yah Lioness Borne
Re: “Music therapists do a lot more than sing”
Our son has had the benefit of music therapists through Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh...it is a wonderful thing and we are happy to be a part of it!
