Closed down- they are no longer in business as of Jan. 8, 2011. No one seems to know what happened, as they left lots of people holding Groupons and Gift Certificates.

Expecting a rather pleasant lunch based on a trusted friend's comments I met a lunch buddy at the newly-converted CoCo Cafe (used to be Books n Beans). Two other tables were occupied in this small, intimate establishment and without ever being greeted or welcomed, we seated ourselves. A chalkboard above the service counter announces the day's short menu. We chose the quiche of the day and went to the counter to order. We were told that they didn't have that. Period. No other comment or suggestion forthcoming! They also did not have the chicken salad or tuna salad. 50% of the menu down at 12:15PM. My friend ordered decaf coffee, black. I ordered the Manhattan clam chowder and decaf tea. I've live nearly 40 years on Long Island so I'm used to variations of the M'tan style of chowder - but not this one. Aging clams added to a substandard vegetable soup is not Manhattan clam chowder! They had no bread so my chowder was served with a torn up wheat bun. By the time I found that I just could not eat this "chowder" I realized that they still had not found any decaf tea. And for some unknown reason they had also decided to turn up the volume of some unidentifiable and distracting music which made any further conversation impossible. We gathered our belongings, were never asked if everything was alright, and left the CoCo Cafe to find kinder quarters for our lunch time.
The Valley could benefit from and certainly enjoy the addition of a small, intimate, good quality cafe/bistro establishment but the congenial welcoming atmosphere and attention to quality specialty foods appears yet to come at CoCo Cafe.
Lousy food,cold,undercooked, Noisy loud mouthed kitchen girl,and a bad waitress. never asked how things were or offered dessert,or any kind of sauces for steaks. Just poorly run. Freezer burnt steak also. I will not return. Tried to use the coupon they give to a local radio staion for promotion, they would not honor it because it said "lunch" on the coupon. Redemption is redemption as I see it. They took it before but would not now??? Made no sense to me. Plus the place is all BLACK, like a dungeon. Just a bad all around time.

Hey City Paper - many thanks for the shout out for the Westmoreland! And, yes we are just a short drive from the City. Wanted to clarify that the museum was built as a museum and is on the site where our founder Mary Marchand Woods' home sat. Hope to see you at the Westmoreland!
This was the first time my wife and I went to Morgans....We wanted to try their crab special because we didn't want to take the long drive to Red Beard in Mt. Wash; boy were we wrong. We were seated at around 6:10 and didn't get our first plate of crab legs until 7:15!!! If your establishment is having an all you can eat night, you would think that item would be ready to go for the customer. We finished our first plate in about 15min, and didn't get our next serving until about 7:45, 7:50. As others have mentioned, it must all be family working at the place, because some of the employees clearly need to be let go. Will never eat there again.
Besides the slow service, their crab legs were over cooked! We were barely able to crack any of the legs and claws because they were so soft due to over cooking.
Im surprised this place is still in business....must get a lot of business from some of the few local loyalist.

Well if you could only find a parking spot, since the owner and her attitude park her white mercedes suv in front of the bar. Too smokey and limited beer selection. Dont waste your time.

Only send your college-age daughter there if you want them to be treated like sex objects by the middle-aged instructors in the FX program. Very low morale among the instructors and expectations of them by the school administration. This is no joke, i know many instructors and students there - every class that comes thru there ends up with females having sexual relations with the instructors. Not sure if they are pressured or what, but I can't figure out how these middle-aged instructors are getting the interest of these young girls. Also A LOT of recreational drug use between the instructors and students; yes, on school property in the local abandon buildings and in the alleys. It's a joke there.

Friendly atmosphere. Great family dining and the food is really, really good. It's been there for a long time, which means to me that it's a well-established restaurant. I'm definitely going back again.
Monroeville location is running a Food Poisoning special with a chaser of 3 liters of IV fluids. Hospital contacted the dept of health.

The Montage is a beautiful space, BUT the owner (Helen) ain't so pretty....
I went for a birthday party for a friend in 2009 and wanted to use this venue for a family/friend holiday gathering in 2010. I have a large family, and a few years ago my great grand mother's house (where we all got together for the holidays) had to be sold since my grandmother retired and had to cut costs and also take care of my great mother. So we all could not get together on the holidays because no one has a big enough home for so many people. We were able to have the party at the Montage, but throughout the process the owner was very rude. She does not like young people... I arrived at the venue 3 days before the event to complete the payment. She was on the phone with someone, and I did not want to be rude, so I waited until she completed her call. She then asked if I was the person using the venue, and I said, "Yes." She then said she thought I looked young and she expected my mother to walk through the door after me.... I was 22 with my own place and was paying hundreds of dollars for the venue myself (I'm 23 now with the same statistics)... Then at the party, while I was organizing everything, the party started congregating in the back room (we had use of both front and back rooms on one side), she came up to me in front of everyone and asks "What did you think I meant when I said you can use this side for your event?" I paused and thought for a minute "Uh Oh, were we only able to use one room (to myself)" She then asked again "WHAT DID YOU THINK I MEANT?!" I said "The full side?" She then said "Then why is everyone back here?" I then said "I don't know they are just here because I am back here setting up" and most of them were helping...
My family loved the space last year, and I cringed when they asked if I could get it again this year. The owner tells me in September that we can use the venue, but has not returned my messages... All in all, she is very selective about whom she lets use the space, even though it was/is a family/friend Holiday gathering and not some club party. She is also an ageist and does not want your business if you are 40 or under unless she knows your family... I'm so offended and disappointed (to tell my family we can't do this this year) that I might go ahead and report this through the proper channels possible for a complaint. So at least the owner has some recognition that her actions and attitudes are not justified.
NEVER book any event here! After booking it months in advance, we were informed that they would not accommodate our wedding rehearsal dinner because they would not make enough money with only 30 people and we were turned away the week of our dinner. Years later, turning the other cheek, we booked an Irish Wake for our father and that same Owner/Manager literally approached us and started an argument with us in front of our grieving family. I quote verbatim which can also be validated by witnesses, "We are not here to make you happy or to make friends, we are a business and we are only here to make money, period". These are facts, not opinions. My family was insulted, my wife and my dignity on NUMEROUS occasions. Shame on me for trying to be Christian and civil about things and give people multiple chances to earn business. Shame on Sieb's for calling themselves a "family" business. Don't make the same mistakes, please!
