Holy Motors. From Leo Carax comes this mind-bender about a man who lives parallel lives (beggar, assassin, family man, among others). 7:30 p.m. Wed., Nov. 14. Harris

Pittsburgh Dad and Mercury Men. Local filmmaker Chris Preksta and collaborator “Pittsburgh dad” (actor Curt Wooten) will screen clips from both web series, and discuss the pros and cons of online moviedom. 7:30 p.m. Thu., Nov. 16. Harris

Competitive Shorts Program. Always an intriguing program this year, 11 short films in assorted genres made the cut. 7 p.m. Fri., Nov. 16, and 2:30 p.m. Sat., Nov. 17. Melwood

Miami Connection. This 1987 “lost” film is back, and still crazy. It’s a tale of a band that goes on a crime-crushing spree in Florida, and it’s a hot ticket for fans of deliriously deliciously bad films. 11 p.m. Fri., Nov. 16. Melwood

El Cap Report. A doc about a Western PA native who attempts to become the oldest person to solo climb Yosemite’s 3000-foot-cliff, El Capitan. Noon, Sat., Nov. 17. Melwood
